Vintage Swiss Omega “De Ville” Prestige Slimline Quartz Wristwatch With 24ct Gold Plated Stainless Steel Bracelet. Beautiful watch with a fantastic secure Omega locking bracelet clasp. Still has all the original clasps so it can be reduced to size. Please browse all 12 sets of photographs attached for size, weight and condition as they are self explanatory. Not a new watch and as of time of listing keeps time perfectly as it has always done. I have inherited this watch and for many years it’s been sitting in my safe so I have decided to part with it so it can be used. I hope to find it a good home. I have never opened the back myself and I believe the exact serial number, model details and date details are inside the watch. I have always been told it is a 1980’s watch. It could possibly be slightly later. Please note, if you are looking for a new watch then this is not for you. Its in fantastic order but not new. I describe things as honestly as I can and I can assure you the watch works perfectly and condition is excellent and commensurate with age. If you are extremely particular I’d advise there are some very minor faint friction marks on the glass but these apart the watch is in excellent order for its age there’s also some very slight wear to parts of the gold plating on the bracelet. This is hardly visible unless you look for it very closely under a magnifying glass so look so please enlarge the photographs to satisfy yourself as to the general condition. There are also some minor marks on one edge where the back has been opened by watchmakers for battery replacement from time to time.Its a genuine watch without being tampered with too much since new. Kindly also note the information and details herein I have gathered through research, not through opening up the watch so I trust the information is accurate in good faith. The Omega serial number is usually located on the case back for most models. On vintage Omega timepieces, the serial number is engraved on the inside of the case back whereas on modern models, it is typically engraved on the bottom of one of the lugs. For a brand that has for so long been the closest rival to Rolex in terms of innovation and name cachet, vintage Omega timepieces are hugely undervalued. If you’re looking for an entry point into vintage collecting, you’d be hard pressed to find many watches better than a vintage Omega.
