eBay Santa Claus ( removable wire tree ) Antique Cast Iron Bank Ives 7 1/4″ 1890s US We are listing a collection of Antique Cast Iron Banks from several toy makers of Yesteryear. They are guaranteed original and any defects will be addressed. Most of them are listed in The Penny Bank Book , Revised 3rd Edition by Andy Moore. This bank is an Antique Ives Cast Iron Santa Claus Bank with ( not original ) Christmas Tree. Made in US about 1890s. The tree is a replacement , the bolt is not original , The inside of the base looks like it was painted over a light coat of surface rust and holding strong. Paint on Santa there are a few flakes around the bolt , also on his back side and on his back by hairline. The front has flakes on pants legs , stomach , left arm , right hand , head area and around coin drop. I would say he still has over 98% of paint left on him. The size is 7 1/4″ and weighs 28 oz.
