HUGE ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD BRONZE & CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL JARDINIERE / PLANTER You are being offered a Huge Antique Japanese Bronze and Champleve Enamel Jardiniere, Cache Pot or Planter decorated with a Foliate Band around its Middle featuring Stylize Cranes along with Lotus Leaves and Seed Pods, and there are Bands of Lappets just below its Rim and above its Base. The Jardiniere is not signed, and it doesn’t have any identifying markings; but we believe it was made in Japan during the Meiji Period, circa 1868-1912. The Jardiniere stands 10½ inches high and it measures almost 13 inches in diameter at its Rim and 14 inches in diameter at its widest point. Aside from wear consistent with its age and use, the Jardiniere orb Planter is in Very Good to Excellent Condition, without any dents, splits, scratches or losses and the Bronze has developed a beautiful darkened Patina.
