After 500 miles you give up and throw them away!!!)EBC Brakes street bike organic range now 100% made using the NRS Hook system.NRS is the trademark of the firm NUCAP of Canada and is a system where small hooks about one mm tall are pressed into the surface of the backing plate where the friction/brake material is bonded acting like a super strong Velcro. This secures the pads to the backing plate MUCH MORE SECURELY than simple adhesive bonding systems used by all other brake manufacturers.When EBC broke into the sintered pad market, it really did its homework. We took all the current market offerings, tested them, analysed them and beat them. We removed the iron powders commonly used in many sintered pads that cause the pad to “weld” to the disc under corrosion when the bike is parked and replaced it with stainless powder.EBC took out several other particles which our competitors still use which caused massive disc damage and created our launch material.After five years and millions of sets sold EBC upgraded the formulation again to their SB101C material which completely eliminated BRAKE NOISE, improved the pads HEAT CYCLING CAPABILITY and improved feel.
